Dr. Tony Bello
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Tony Bello is passionate about creating successful partnerships with the
public and private sectors of emerging markets to drive results and to grow the
business. His passion for
success and new product innovation is what led him to found Heritage Agro-Allied
Foods Incorporation (H2AFoods Nigeria Limited), a company formed as a vehicle
for private-public sector innovation partnerships in the transfer of food
technologies to emerging markets around the world, particularly in Africa and
the Caribbeans.
Dr. Bello also served as the Vice President of Research and Technology for
Pro-Health — a Dallas, Texas based privately held company focusing on growing,
packing, processing and shipping potatoes. At Pro-Health, Dr. Bello created
value-added, healthier and more nutritious potatoes. Because they do not turn
green in color, the potatoes maintain their fresh appearance and nutritious
condition longer.
Before joining Pro-Health, Dr. Bello was responsible for leading a team of food
scientist at the Kellogg Company in the successful new product innovation and
commercialization of Kellogg's® Live Bright™ Brain Health Bars. The product is
fortified with DHA Omega-3 fatty acid, an essential source of functional fat for
brain health and nutrition. Dr. Bello and his team of high performance food
scientists filed for several patents
with the United States Patent Office on the incorporation of Omega-3 fatty acids
in foods. While working at Kellogg, Dr. Bello also created breakthrough
technology solutions for fortification and enhancement of breakfast cereals with
digestive health nutrients.
Prior to joining Kellogg, Dr. Bello led the successful development of Baked Lays
potato chips for Frito Lay. According to Texas Month Magazine (January 1996),
“he was the principal scientist…who tried several recipes of potato dough
formulations before sinking his teeth into the winning formula.” Dr. Bello also
created Lay’s Stax stackable potato chips brand to compete with Pringles potato
chips. In 2001, he was awarded a United States patent for his work on Lay’s Stax.
Dr. Bello started his career with Kraft General Foods where he worked on quality
improvement of brands including Jello-Pudding Snacks, Honeycomb and Alpha-Bits
cereals. With 20 years of experience, Dr. Bello has earned the reputation of a
renowned expert on snack foods innovation and in the use of dehydrated potatoes
for making snack foods. Dr. Bello is a
published author in many scientific journals including Cereal Foods World,
Cereal Chemistry and Journal of Food Science. He is a distinguished guest
lecturer at the Texas A&M University annual short course on snack foods
processing and extrusion as well as The Ohio State University Total Quality
Management short course for the snack food industry. He is a past-chair of the
carbohydrates division of the American Association of Cereal Chemists.
Dr. Bello
is a notable guest lecturer on the uses of dehydrated potatoes for snacks at the
Annual Snack Foods and Extrusion Processing Short Course at Texas A&M University
and at The Ohio State University Total Quality Management Short Course. He
earned his doctorate in Food Science from Texas A&M University. He
received his Master of Food Science degree from Alabama Agricultural and
Mechanical University and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.Dr. Bello
has extensive experience in designing winning solutions as a food science and
technology consultant to major food manufacturers and emerging markets from
around the globe.
Mr. Ofodile Ojirika
Chief
Financial Officer
Mr. Ofodile Ojirika is a co-founder of H2AFoods Nigeria Limited and the parent
company, Heritage Agro-Allied Foods Inc., USA. He was appointed member of
the Board of Directors in 2008. Ojirika brings to this team both the knowledge
and expertise in starting and steadily growing new business opportunities.
Ojirika is the President of Trinity Consulting Services. Over the years, he has
worked as a consultant for several Fortune 500 companies including, BAE
Systems, ALCOA Aluminum, U.S Gypsum, Panasonic, Canon etc. He has
helped numerous Medium and Small sized companies to design and implement
industry leading best practices to improve production efficiency and
profitability. He has managed and participated in several projects that involved
starting and forming new companies and businesses; establishing new
subsidiaries; Designing and Implementing measureable best practices to
drastically lower Manufacturing Costs; Quality Control Improvements; Business
Re-engineering; Systems Integration; Compliance with the regulatory
authorities; Financial Reporting and Disclosures, etc. He is very highly respected
and referenced by his clients and peers. Mr. Ojirika holds a Masters Degree in
Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of
Management.
Mr. Kingsley Ewansiha
VP Operations
Mr. Kingsley Ewansiha is a co-founder of H2AFoods Nigeria Limited and the
parent company, Heritage Agro-Allied Foods Inc., USA. He was appointed
member of the Board of Directors in 2008. Ewansiha is currently President and
CEO of Complete Finance and Investments, a financial services company based
in Dallas, Texas. His proactive role as a director and manager with H2AFoods
Nigeria Limited continues to bolster the vision of the company to help eradicate
poverty in Nigeria through job creation and employment. Ewansiha has served
in the financial sector both here in the USA and Nigeria. In the United States, he
worked for Wells Fargo Bank and CitiGroup credit card division, where he was
recognized on several occasions for his outstanding individual and team
contributions and leadership performance. He is a financial and business leader
with over 10 years experience in retail sales. Ewansiha holds a B.Sc. (Hons)
degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Nigeria as well as Diploma in
Information Management System, United Kingdom. He holds several licenses in
the areas of Financial Services and Investments. Ewansiha is also an ordained
pastor with an active congregation in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Emmanuel Omehe
VP Public Relations
Mr. Emmanuel A. Omehe is a co-founder of H2AFoods Nigeria Limited and the
parent company, Heritage Agro-Allied Foods Inc., USA. He was appointed
member of the Board of Directors in 2008. Omehe is a pharmacist and President
of Heritage Pharmacy Inc, an independent community pharmacy in Garland,
Texas providing disease state management, pharmaceutical care services,
compounding, medication therapy management and drug information to patients
of all ages. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Benin,
Benin City, Nigeria in 1988 where he graduated with a 2nd Class Upper and
subsequently joined Zevis Pharmaceuticals, Lagos as pharmacist in charge. Upon
emigration to the United States, he joined Eckerd Drugs as Pharmacist. He
displayed an exemplary work ethic and was recruited by Walmart Pharmacy into
the rising star program. He obtained his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
diploma from the University of Texas, Austin in 1997 which has enabled him to be
active in Pharmacy software development. Omehe is also the President of
Remington Heritage Healthnet, a pharmacy consultancy firm, which represents
U.S. corporations in African countries. The firm utilizes the latest in technological
advancement to promote wellness and healthy living via the provision of high
quality innovative neutraceuticals to developing countries through the science of
chelation. They also provide solution management for capacity utilization in
pharmaceutical industries in Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Pharmacist
Association where he served as the immediate past Secretary General between
2006 and 2008. He also serves on the board of several non-profit organizations.
Mr. Omehe brings a unique perspective on creative innovation of better-for-you
foods to promote health, wellness and nutrition.
Mr. Sunday Omakor
VP Food Quality and Safety
Mr. Sunday Omakor is a co-founder of H2AFoods Nigeria Limited and the parent
company, Heritage Agro-Allied Foods Inc., USA. He was appointed member of
the Board of Directors in 2008. Omakor is a veteran food industry specialist in
the areas of manufacturing, quality control and food safety. For over 20 years
since graduating from Alabama A & M University in 1985 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biology, Omakor has gained
expertise and leadership excellence both in people and asset management. He
has worked for world class food companies such as Frito-Lay, the market leader
of savory snacks in the USA, Borden Snacks and most recently with the
McCormick Flavor Division, a preferred seasoning vendor to global snack food
manufacturers including Frito-Lay. His knowledge and technical competencies
in the areas of Federal, State and Municipal compliance to food quality
standards is key to maintaining our goal for unsurpassed food quality and safety
standards. Omakor takes pride in instilling consumer confidence in food quality,
safety and good-manufacturing practices.
Mrs. Bolanle Banjo
VP Marketing
Mrs. Bolanle Banjo is a co-founder of
H2AFoods Nigeria Limited and the parent company, Heritage Agro-Allied Foods
Inc., USA. She was appointed member of the Board of Directors in 2008. Mrs.
Banjo brings a wealth of experience in marketing, investment relationship
management, and in-depth understanding of the Nigerian banking system. She
worked with Gulf Bank of Nigeria for over 14 years in various departments, where
she gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of international banking,
marketing, treasury and financial institution management. Mrs. Banjo rose to
rank of Assistant General Manager (Bank Treasury) before leaving the banking
industry in 2004. Her key portfolios included the bank treasury and management
of key accounts from both the public and private sectors. Her wealth of
experience in marketing and treasury management was key enabler to her
successful management of the liquidity of Gulf Bank for a sustainable profit
growth year-on-year. Her relationship management and marketing skills
contributed immensely to the growth of the bank’s balance sheet. She received an
award of the best deposit mobilization staff of the year in 1998. Mrs. Banjo is
a team player and was a committed pioneer staff of Gulf Bank. She is a go-getter
and no obstacle is too great for her to overcome. Her interest in investment and
asset management led to her personal investment in the food industry during the
low carb boom of 2002-2005. Mrs. Banjo’s professional and academic achievements
includes local and international training in asset management, MBA degree from
Lagos State University and a Master’s in Banking and Finance from University of
Lagos.

Dr. Lloyd Rooney
Snacks, Cereal Chemistry and Technology
Dr. Lloyd Rooney is Regents Professor and Faculty Fellow at Texas A&M
University, College Station, Texas. Dr. Rooney has dedicated most of his career
teaching and mentoring students in the practice and science of foods and
nutrition. Many of his former students, if not all of his graduate students are
top-notch practicing food scientists in the USA and all over the world. Dr.
Rooney’s work on corn (maize) supply chain and corn variety selection for making
Snacks and Ready-to-Eat Cereals (RTECs) has earned him many awards by scientific
bodies such as the Corn Refiners Association, American Association of Cereal
Chemists, International Congress on Nixtamalization (Queretaro, Mexico) and
American Association of Agronomy, to mention a few. Dr. Rooney is also an expert
in sorghum and millet utilization as food crops. He has nearly 1000 scientific
publications, as well as editor and co-editor of books on Snack Foods Processing
and Sorghum Utilization.
Robert "Bob" Miller
Snacks and RTEC's Manufacturing
Mr. Bob Miller has been a consultant to the food and feed industry since 1980.
He is a chemical engineer (New Jersey Institute of Technology) with experience
in Research and Development and production manufacturing of RTECs and Snacks.
Mr. Miller worked briefly for Warner-Lambert, Nabisco, Cornell University and
Borden Foods before starting an independent practice of consulting for the food
industry in the United States and all over the world, including Thailand and
Russia. His current work, specializing in extrusion processing and related
fields, takes him around the world. His numerous research and publications have
focused on his work in this area. Mr. Miller has been a regular lecturer for the
American Association of Cereal Chemists and has also participated in educational
and development programs with the American Institute of Baking, Cornell
University, Center for Processing Advancement, American Soybean Association,
U.S. Feed Grains Council, Project SUSTAIN, NSTDA (at Kasesart University,
Thailand), and ACDI/VOCA. He also participates in several courses for training
of technical and operating personnel within private companies.
Dr. Mpoko Bokanga
Cassava Production & Processing
Dr. Mpoko Bokanga is a world-renowned food scientist with special emphasis on
cassava processing and utilization as a food crop. He has been involved in
agricultural research and development in Africa for several years since
graduating with a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT) and a doctorate from Cornell University. Before joining AATF as its first
Executive Director, Dr. Bokanga worked as Industrial Development Officer
(Agro-industries) with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
in Abuja, Nigeria. He also served: as Research Scientist with the International
Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA); as a Visiting Professor of Food
Science at the Alabama A & M University; and as Research Associate with Westreco
Inc., a Nestlé Research Company based in New Milford, Connecticut, USA. Dr.
Bokanga is the current Chair of ISTRC-AB, the African branch of the ISTRC.
He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Greenwich in England,
United Kingdom (2005-2008). At Westreco, Dr. Bokanga developed processes based
on immobilized microbial and enzyme systems, and at IITA, he developed
technologies for processing cassava and yams into new products, which were
deployed in over a dozen African countries. He has co-authored or edited three
books and published several scholarly papers on the biochemistry and health
implications of cyanogenesis in cassava, and on the processing of root and tuber
crops. He is the Coordinator of the Working Group on Cassava Safety (WOCAS), a
sub-committee of the International Society for Tropical Root Crops (ISTRC),
whose main function is to monitor progress in and stimulate research on the
understanding and handling of issues related to cyanogenesis in cassava and
their implications on cassava food safety.
William "Bill" Englar
Potato Dehydration Processing
Mr. Bill Englar is a world-class expert in potato dehydration and vegetable food
processing and preservation. He started his own consulting and food laboratory
research company after a brief career as a food scientist for Carnation, Idaho
Potato Growers, and The Kellogg Company. He is a graduate of Michigan State
University. Most recently, Mr. Englar has provided his technical know-how and
expertise to support the Idaho State University food science and technology
business development programs. He has successfully built potato dehydration
facilities from the ground up and a Ready-to-Eat Cereal (RTEC) manufacturing
facility in South America and the Caribbean. He was engaged as a consultant for
“Project Exchange” by H2AFoods Nigeria Limited to leverage his years of
experience on potato dehydration and preservation in the processing of potatoes,
yams, cassava, plantain and bananas for the Nigeria market.
Dr. Gloria Cagampang
RTEC's Rice, Sorghum, Fats & Oils
Dr. Gloria Cagampang started her career in
the food industry with the Kellogg Company in 1984, and subsequently rose to the
position of Research Fellow, as well as a member of the Research Quality and
Technology Leadership Team. She was the first female Research Fellow in the
history of Kellogg Company. Her responsibilities included the design and
execution of the strategic technical roadmap of the Kellogg Company. In a short
time, Dr. Cagampang and her team of scientists and engineers successfully
developed and implemented the universal shortenings needed across the Kellogg
Company to accomplish trans-fats elimination, reduction of saturated fats,
reduction of the costs of the ingredients, and exploration of new oils.
For seven years, Dr. Cagampang implemented the raw material programs of Kellogg
Company’s global operations that include Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe and
Africa. With 25 years of experience in basic and applied research, process
technology, product development and innovation and ingredient sourcing and
procurement, Dr. Cagampang’s experience and expertise are sought after in the
field of cereal and grain science and technology transfer and especially for
Rice, Wheat and Corn. She is recognized as one of the world’s renowned rice
experts.
Prior to her food industry experience, Dr. Cagampang worked on rice research and
played a significant role in the establishment of the Rice Technical Center at
the University of Arkansas. In addition, she worked as Research Associate at
Purdue University conducting basic research and investigations on the
physicochemical properties of sorghum grains that are relevant to eating
quality. Dr. Cagampang holds two Master of Science degrees in Grain Science from
Kansas State University and Biochemistry from Purdue University where she also
earned her doctorate in Food Science and Cereal Science.
Maureen Okoro-Sokoh
Human
Resource & Talent Management Recruiter
Mrs. Maureen Okoro-Sokoh is a well-respected
and accomplished Human Resources (HR) expert in the Oil and Gas sector. She
currently serves as an HR Consultant on recruitment and outsourcing management
issues for Oando Plc. Prior to being engaged as a consultant, she was Head of
Corporate Services and Human Capital Management (HCM) at Oando Marketing Limited
(Nigeria and West Africa). Oando, formerly Unipetrol Nigeria Plc, is the
foremost downstream oil marketing company, as well as the largest energy group
in Nigeria. She previously served at Oando Plc as Manpower Resourcing Manager
(2004-2006), and Senior Training Officer (2001-2004).
Before her professional affiliation with Oando Plc, Okoro-Sokoh was Deputy
Manager, Computer Services, at Ambrose Alli University, Lagos, Nigeria
(2000-2001); Branch/Administrative Manager, Debis Nigeria Limited (Kano,
Nigeria, 1995-2000); and Process Control Superintendent, 7Up Bottling Company
Plc, Lagos, Nigeria (1990-1993). Throughout her professional career, Mrs.
Okoro-Sokoh has emphasized and contributed to skills development, empowerment of
staff, and innovation and standardization. For example, at 7Up Bottling Company,
she oversaw and supervised the total process of syrup and treated water
production to meet measured standards and specifications for Pepsi-Cola
International products. At Debis Nigeria Limited, she trained trainers, managed
employee welfare issues and mentorship. Her skills in information technology
(IT) were evident in her design and implementation of IT training programs and
curriculum, networking of the Ambrose Alli University, and her role in
recruitment of student. Her affiliation with Oando Plc is demonstration and
acknowledgement of her ability to apply acquired skills in human resources,
human capital management and welfare, equitable workforce, and arbitration and
negotiation.
Her appetite for intellectual and professional growth has influenced her
participation in numerous professional development courses in the United
Kingdom, Canada, United States, and Nigeria. In the process, she has acquired

A graduate of the University of Benin (Nigeria), with a Bachelor of Science
(B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry, Mrs. Okoro-Sokoh also has earned numerous other
academic qualifications and certifications in desktop publishing, data
processing (diploma), as well as in essential areas of Microsoft instructional
and user tools, and questionnaire and personality testing. She is well-respected
by her peers and in her profession.
Chris Ekoh
Legal Counsel
Mr. Ekoh is an environmental practitioner -
currently employed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as the
Senior Attorney in charge of Water Quality. He supervises a team of attorneys
who represent the agency on water quality permitting matters, industrial and
municipal wastewater permitting, sludge use, registration and permitting,
wastewater treatment plant design and installation, and rulemaking to facilitate
the agency's mandate under the Texas Water Code. Mr. Ekoh participates in the
administration of the agency's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He has a
wealth of experience in employment and corporate law, business and civil
litigation, personal injury and immigration law and environmental regulation
compliance. Mr. Ekoh has practiced law for over 17 years and has given scholarly
presentations on a variety of environmental topics. He holds an LL.M degree in
environmental law from Vermont Law School; a Jurist Doctor degree from William
Mitchell Law School in St Paul, Minnesota; and a Bachelor’s degree from the
University of Wisconsin.
David O. Agbuduta
Certified Legal Accountant
Mr. David O. Agbuduta is a Certified Public
Accountant (CPA). With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Agbuduta is also a
financial advisor in public accounting practice performing compilations,
reviews, taxation and specialty accounting services. In collaboration with his
firm’s staff, Mr. Agbuduta performs a wide range of services for many clients as
diverse as the health care industry, general contractors, and food processing.
Previously, Mr. Agbuduta was a controller with Simeus Food International, Inc.,
in Mansfield, Texas and served as a business analyst in the expatriate unit of
Ernest & Young, LLP. He went into private practice when he formed his accounting
firm in 2002. Mr. Agbuduta holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
degree from Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma.
